
GAZZOSA
A sweet tradition
Gazzosa is a sweetened, flavored and slightly carbonated water, whose name comes from its own feature, the gas.
From the evidence collected, since the nineteenth century until the last decades of the twentieth there has been a special way to prepare gazzosa in Ticino, now abandoned: to obtain gas through the natural fermentation of a sweetened liquid, a syrup made of lemon, various flavors and water (the similar process used with grape must or apple must). That was the way to get a homemade gazzosa, or "The poor man's Champagne", due to the natural fermentation.

Motivated and enthusiastic people who create a close-knit team. The director Luca Bianda, Ticino entrepreneur and pharmacist, has fully renewed the old factory located in Personico, investing in the long know-how of his production manager (Augusto BontĂ ) and, since May 2009, has launched his own flavors under the Fizzy brand.

Gazzose Ticinesi SA is responsible for the production and bottling of various soft drinks and beverages. In addition, Fizzy and Ambra gazzosa, as well as Sprell soft drinks, are distributed and marketed by the company.
